Loren Francis Radel, 70, of Parachute passed away May 1, 2013 in Arizona surrounded by his loving family.

Loren was born August 25, 1942 in North Platte, Nebraska to Lawrence D. & Morjorie S. (Pilkington) Radel. He married Edith M. Worlein on July 28, 1963 in Brule, Nebraska. They had three children. In 1972, the family moved to the Western Slope of Colorado where Loren worked as a machinist until his retirement.

Loren leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Edith; sons, David M. (Shelia) Radel, Doyle L. (Kristie) Radel, and Darren K. (Penelope) Radel; sister, Luella G. (Rod) Heilbrun; thirteen grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Connie K. McVay; and brother, Martin F. Radel.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 8, 1:00 pm at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Rifle. Interment will follow immediately at Battlement Mesa Cemetery in Parachute.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Loren Radel Memorial Fund at any local Alpine Bank.
