Mary Jane Mathena was born July 16, 1949 in Denver, Colorado.
She enjoyed sewing, and embroidery, working on crafts for the county fair that won her many championships. She was the queen of the fair many times. She loved making quilts and teddy bears for her grandchildren.
She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years and loved the lord with all her heart. She was also a member of the Anvil Points Quilting Guild here in Rifle.
She is survived by her her husband of 50 years Mike Mathena, children Mark (Jennifer) Mathena, Myra (Matt) Smith; Brother Ray Martinez; Grandchildren Brittany, Brianna, Brook, Bryson Smith, Alyssa, Nicole, Keyan Mathena
Service are to be held on Friday November 26, 2021 at 10:00AM at Bethel Baptist Church in Rifle, Colorado
