Willis Deane Bowman passed away peacefully at Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home on May 27, 2013.

Willis was born in Denver, Colorado in 1922 to Frank Bowman and Ellen ( Gemmell ) Bowman. On November 23, 1947. He married Virginia Caddy in Denver, Colorado. After getting Married they moved to Gilman, CO followed by Eagle, Co, later they moved to Carthage, TN and then decided to retire in Grand Junction, CO.

Willis was a Purchasing Agent for Zinifex Mining Company for many years. Willis was a member of the Masons, Eastern Star, American Legion & the Rotary Club. Willis leaves behind his wife ~ Virginia Bowman, Son ~ Frank ( Glenice ) Bowman, Daughter-in-law ~ Mary Bowman, Grandchildren ~ Jonathan "JJ", Christopher, Kimberley and Mathew.

Willis was preceded in death by his son John Bowman and his parents. Services will be held at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction on June 7th, 2013 at 10:00 am.

Family suggests Memorial Donations be made to the Colorado State Veterans Nursing Home in Rifle, Colorado.
